With the exception perhaps of the beloved robin, no bird is more welcome in my garden than the treasured thrush; with its beautiful speckled cream waistcoat and rich song.
So I was delighted tonight – as I walked into the conservatory – to spy a healthy pair of thrushes grazing for worms on our lawn.
Or perhaps like the cheeky blackbird I am watching now, they were collecting twigs and moss to shore-up their nests.
