About

The editor of this blog is, Ian Bridge, is a professional writer and a member of the Chartered Institute of Journalist.
“Writing is an integral part of my nature, it’s something I just ‘do’”, Ian says. “Whether it’s expressing feeling, emotions and passion through poetry or something more prosaic, I find the whole creative process to be cathartic.”
Ian is equally at home penning technical manuals and commercial copywriting as doing journalistic work such as magazine features or sports reporting. This blog then is an expression of his personal views on life and in particular the things that most interested him; whether that be nature, poetry, politics or just plain fair play.
An active member of the CPRE and branch co-ordinator of the Central Lancashire Green Party, Ian has a keen interest in protecting the environment; not only for humans but for wildlife too.
In addition Ian is an active supporter of Friends of the Earth, Greenpeace and Oxfam; lobbying on their behalf to support an array of campaigns.
